Primal Lamb Formula Nuggets Freeze Dried Dog Food, 14-oz Bag

My little Yorkie love these freeze dried lamb. I put a little water with it and mix it with his other food. He never leaves any in his bowl. I would give it 5 stars.

My dog is in love with this food, more than treats! It takes a couple of minutes to crumble up the nuggets and add water, but it's worth it.

I have used Primal in the past in their raw form as a frozen product defrosted and fed. This is the first time I've done the freeze-dried and my dog likes it as well. Easier to keep and worth the price.

This food is very high quality. If you want to compare it to another food, you can compare it to Stella and chewy dinner patties but primal doesn’t use synthetic vitamins like Stella and chewy which is very important because synthetic vitamins are harder on dog’s organs. I use this as a topper for my dog or small amount as a treat. Be careful if you feed this to your dog as their only food since it’s high on protein and fat. The protein for a young and healthy dog is not a problem, but for an older dog it may be too much and more importantly the fat content is high, which this food and Stella and chewy both have. The bad reviews you see regards to this brand and Stella and chewy both are mostly because dogs ended up with gi upset, this is particularly important with senior dogs with excising illnesses, renal specially, they are more susceptible to pancreatitis so be careful what you feed and how much you feed. Otherwise this is a GREAT food!!!!
